Kenya Cup side Mwamba RFC have received a significant financial boost after unveiling a new sponsorship partnership with Dignity Furniture in a deal worth KES 9 million over three years.
Coming days just after securing promotion back to top tier Kenya Cup league, the agreement will see the Nairobi-based club pocket KES 3 million annually, providing much-needed support as they continue to rebuild and strengthen their structures both on and off the pitch.
The deal also includes an option to renew upon expiry, signaling long-term confidence in the club’s direction.
The partnership was officially launched on Thursday morning at the Dignity Furniture headquarters in Parklands, Nairobi.
Speaking during the unveiling, Mwamba RFC Chairman Edwin Waita welcomed the sponsorship as a timely intervention that will accelerate the club’s ambitions.
“This sponsorship is a big step forward for Mwamba. It gives us the stability to grow, invest in our players and structures, and continue building a competitive side. We are grateful to Dignity Furniture for believing in our vision,” said Waita.
The sponsorship comes at a crucial time for Mwamba, who have been working to re-establish themselves among Kenya’s rugby elite. With financial backing now secured, the club is expected to channel resources into player welfare, recruitment, and development programs.
