The stage is set for another exciting edition of the 2026 Juja 7s after the tournament organisers released the official pool draw ahead of the competition set to take place this Saturday 11th July at JKUAT main campus.
Hosts JKUAT RFC headline Pool A, where they will battle fellow university side KU Blak Blad, Makueni Ravens and Hawk Rugby in what promises to be a tightly contested group.
Pool B features defending champions Zetech Oaks, Northern Suburbs, Mean Machine and Gachie RFC. The group brings together experienced university outfits and ambitious club sides, setting up several intriguing encounters.
For Kenya Cup champions KCB RFC who are fresh from clinching Met 7s last Saturday headline Pool C alongside Kabete Stallions, Kiambu RFC and PBUEA. The bankers will start as favourites to progress but face stern competition from their pool opponents.
Meanwhile, Pool D comprises CUEA, Homeboyz, KCA and Blizzards, with all four sides eyeing a place in the knockout stages.
The tournament is expected to attract some of the country’s top university and club teams as they continue preparations for the National Sevens Circuit. Beyond the battle for silverware, the event will provide players and coaches with an opportunity to assess their squads and build momentum ahead of the competitive sevens season.
