KCB Bank on Experience as Olukusi Captains Side for Prinsloo 7s

Defending National Sevens Circuit champions KCB Rugby club have unveiled a 14-man squad for the 2026 Prinsloo 7s, the opening leg of this year’s circuit set for July 25-26 at the NAC Grounds in Nakuru.

The bankers head into the tournament as one of the favourites after lifting the overall National Sevens Circuit title last season and will be aiming to begin their title defence on a high note.

Kenyan international Elvis Olukusi has been named captain of the side, with Brian Wahinya serving as vice-captain. The squad also features experienced campaigners including Vincent Onyala, George Ooro and Austin Sikutwa. Clyde Kimaya and Eugene Omondi are also part of the traveling party alongside Emmanuel Opondo, Elvis Amusasi and Nelson Mwaki.

KCB have been drawn in Pool C alongside Nondescripts, CUEA Monks and National Championship side NYS Spades.

Andrew Amonde will lead the technical bench as head coach, assisted by Jacob Ojie and Peter Kilonzo as analyst, as the bankers seek a strong start to their campaign.

Vincent Onyala, George Ooro, Elvis Olukusi (C), Samuel Asati, Brian Wahinya (VC), Richel Wangila, Austin Sikutwa, Clyde Kimaya, Eugene Omondi, Emmanuel Opondo, Elvis Amusasi, Festus Shiasi, Floyd Wabwire and Nelson Mwaki.

Prinsloo 7s marks the beginning of the 2026 National Sevens Circuit, with teams looking to earn valuable points in the race for the overall circuit crown.
