Debutant Victor ‘Mola’ Odhiambo has earned a call-up to the Kenya Shujaa squad set to compete at the HSBC SVNS World Championship in Valladolid, Spain from May 29-30.
The youthful Strathmore leos winger headlines the 13-man travelling squad after impressive performances on the local circuit, with the youngster now in line to make his mark on the international stage as Kenya chase a strong finish in the season-ending tournament.
Kenya Shujaa will once again be captained by George Ooro, with Samuel Asati serving as co-captain. The squad also features regulars such as Kevin Wekesa, Dennis Abukuse, Vincent Onyala, Patrick Odongo and Brian Tanga.
Shujaa seek to battle through a tough Pool A that includes Australia, South Africa and Great Britain.
Kenya will begin their campaign against Australia on May 29 before facing South Africa later the same day. They will wrap up their pool matches against Great Britain on May 30.
