Former Kenya cup outfit Mombasa RFC have released their matchday squad ahead of their KRU Championship opener against JKUAT Cougars this weekend, with head coach Anthony Ndegwa naming a balanced group for the trip to Juja.
The team will be looking to begin their campaign on a strong note as they face a physical and well-drilled JKUAT side at the Main Campus Grounds.
Captain Luke Omotto leads the forwards, anchoring a pack that includes Alvin Karani, Amos Lunalo, Tommy Happy, Collins Oduor and Martin Lewa. Elias Obuyu and Newton Malenya add size and stability to the tight five, giving Mombasa a solid platform for the season opener.
In the backs, playmaker Temisan Njagi starts alongside Kevin Magembe, while Collins Amayo captains the backline. Jared Osindi and Edmond Muturi bring pace out wide, with Hannington Ambaka and Kelvin Chege providing additional attacking options.
The squad also features depth through players such as Joel Siko, Victor Akach, Jacob Tinga, Fabian Murimi, Charles Onyango, Nick Mawira, Jabir Jabir and Samuel Mutua who will start on the bench.
