World Rugby has confirmed the extension of its official apparel partnership with Macron until 2029, strengthening a relationship established in 2022 and underlining a shared commitment to quality, performance and innovation.

Under the renewed agreement, Macron will continue as an Official Sports Apparel Supplier for Rugby World Cup tournaments and as the Official Match Official Kit Supplier to World Rugby. The partnership spans major global events, including Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029 in Australia, as well as the HSBC SVNS Series and World Rugby’s annual competition calendar.

Macron will remain responsible for supplying technical and athleisure apparel for match officials, staff and volunteers, alongside official merchandising collections. Its Macron Hero emblem will continue to feature across elite tournaments, reflecting the brand’s established presence at the top tier of the sport.

The deal also covers continued supply of Emirates World Rugby Match Official uniforms, including bespoke kits for female officials. All apparel is produced using eco-fabrics made from 100 per cent recycled materials, reinforcing both organisations’ sustainability commitments.

World Rugby Chief Revenue Officer Michel Poussau praised Macron as a trusted, innovative partner, while Macron CEO Gianluca Pavanello highlighted the brand’s deep-rooted connection to rugby and readiness for the landmark events ahead.
