Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Championship side Western Bulls RFC is set to host the inaugural Cleo Malalah 7s from December 30th to 31, 2025, at the Bull Ring in Kakamega. This tournament, organized by local politician and former Kakamega Senator Cleo Malalah will mark seven years of the Cleo Malalah Super Cup, a successful football tournament.
Tickets for the event are now on sale, with VIP tickets priced at KSh 1500 in advance and KSh 2000 at the gate.
In addition to the excitement surrounding the tournament, Western Bulls have secured significant support for their season ahead. Sources close to the club confirmed to Two5four that Cleo Malalah will be covering part of the Bulls’ travel expenses, a crucial contribution that will ease the financial strain the team has faced in previous seasons.
This sponsorship comes as a relief after the Bulls were forced to give a walkover in their opening match of the season against CUEA due to financial constraints. With this new support, former Kenya Cup side are poised to have a smoother run through their away fixtures this season.
The tournament will also offer a lucrative prize pool, with the winning team set to walk away with KSh 300,000, the runners-up taking home KSh 150,000, and the third-place finishers bagging KSh 100,000.
