Menengai Oilers head coach Gibson Weru has kept faith in  the side that powered past Blak Blad 42–21 in the last weekend’s Impala Floodlit semifinals, as the Nakuru-based outfit prepares to defend their title against Nondescripts RFC.

The consistency in selection shows Weru’s confidence in the group that delivered a commanding performance to secure their third consecutive final appearance at the Impala Grounds.

The starting XV once again features Ibrahim Ayoo as captain, partnering Charles Osgood in the engine room, with Fortune Aturo and Vincent Mwikhali completing a powerful front row alongside Victor Were.

The dynamic loose trio of Samuel Were, Amos Obae (AC), and Elkeans Musonye retains its balance of grit and pace.

In the backs, Samson Onsomu and Samuel Mwaura continue at halfback, while Beldad Ogeta, Samuel Ovwamu, Chrispine Shitundo, Timothy Omela, and Abutwalib Wesonga form a lethal backline that has lit up the tournament with fluid attacking rugby.

Weru has also kept faith in the same replacements bench, with only one change inform of Kevin Mukoyani who is replaced by Reuben Njoroge. Bruce Endovo, Byrone Cornel, Wallace Onyango, Jadah Abdon, Andrew Odero, Philip Okeyo, and Alvin Khavoli all retain their place.

Oilers will look to make it back-to-back Floodlit titles when they face Nondies at 7:00 PM under the Impala floodlights, a matchup promising fireworks between two in-form sides.

With both teams eyeing early silverware before the new season.
