The stage is set for the 2025 Safari Sevens as action kicks off this Friday, October 10, at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Women’s fixtures will open the tournament at 4:00 PM, with Costa Blanca Barbarians taking on Mwamba Select. The women’s pool matches continue shortly after with Shogun squaring off against Kenya Cubs, before Uganda face Belgium and Kenya Lionesses begin their campaign against Tunisia.
Attention will then shift to the men’s category later in the evening. Kenya Morans will kick off their Pool C campaign against Reunion, while Zimbabwe take on Apache in one of the day’s most anticipated matchups. Shogun will test themselves against Uganda, followed by French Renegades taking on Nyati and KCB Rugby facing UK Select.
The main event of the opening day will see Kenya Shujaa, the home favourites, round off proceedings against Walukuba Rugby from Uganda at 6:48 PM, marking the end of what is expected to be an electric opening evening under the Nyayo lights.
