Kenya Morans continued their impressive start at the Zambezi 7s tournament with a 36-0 victory over Pitbulls, marking their second straight win of the day.
Earlier, the Morans had set the tone with a 41-0 victory over Old Hararians, and they carried that momentum into their second match with another flawless display.
The match kicked off brightly for Kenya as Dennis Abukuse opened the scoring, with Rayvon Ambale successfully adding the extras for a 7-0 lead. Pitbulls threatened to respond soon after, but Kenya’s firm defensive wall held strong, repelling multiple attacks near their try line.
Moments later, fleet-footed winger Victor Mola punished the opponents’ missed opportunity with a well-worked try on the far post, sending the Morans into the halftime break with a 12-0 advantage.
The second half began in similar fashion as Jackson Siketi grounded a center-post try, though the conversion went wide, stretching the lead to 17-0.
Rayvon Ambale then took charge, scoring and converting his own try to make it 24-0, before completing his brace with another converted effort that extended Kenya’s lead to 31-0.
The Morans sealed the emphatic win with a late try to wrap up the 36-0 victory, maintaining a perfect defensive record after two matches.
Kenya Morans will be looking to sustain their fine form as they chase top honors in the Zambezi 7s tournament.
