Menengai Oilers blew past Buffaloes with a ruthless 60-15 frying at the Nakuru Showground, booking their place in the Enterprise Cup semi-finals in emphatic fashion.

It didn’t look like a rout early on. Buffaloes held firm in the opening exchanges, but once Oilers found their rhythm, the floodgates opened. A rolling maul off a lineout set the tone, with Destrious Ifedha powering over for the first try.

From there, it was one-way traffic.

Alvin Khavoli sliced through the defence soon after, and Brian Achacha added another with a strong, direct run as Oilers piled on the pressure. Wallace Onyango and Philip Okeyo both crossed before the break, while Achacha grabbed his second to send the hosts into halftime cruising at 36-6.

Buffaloes had their moments from the boot, slotting  three penalties to stay in touch, but they simply couldn’t live with Oilers in open play.

The second half picked up where the first left off. Khavoli turned creator and finisher, combining well with Abutwalib Wesonga for two quick tries that effectively killed off any hope of a comeback. Beldad Ogeta added another as the hosts kept their foot firmly on the gas.

A yellow card to Lucky Onyango gave Buffaloes a short window, and they managed a converted try, but Oilers barely flinched. Okeyo’s late score sealed the demolition job, wrapping up a commanding 60-15 victory.
