A constant feature at every Rugby World Cup since 1999, Namibia have unveiled their 36-man provisional squad for the upcoming Rugby World Cup Repechage set for November in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as they seek to qualify for an eighth consecutive appearance at rugby’s global showpiece.
The squad was released by the Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) on Friday, 10 October 2025, with the final 30-man traveling team scheduled to be confirmed and announced on Monday, 20 October 2025, following the completion of the team’s training and assessment camp.
Namibia narrowly missed out on direct qualification after a 30-28 loss to Zimbabwe in the Rugby Africa Cup final played in July in Kampala, Uganda. The Welwitschias will now face Belgium, Samoa, and the winner of the South American qualifier between Brazil and Paraguay for the final ticket to Rugby World Cup 2027, set to take place in Australia.
