Nakuru to Host Opener as 2026 National Sevens Circuit Dates Are Unveiled

The 2026 National Sevens Circuit dates have officially been announced by the Kenya Rugby Union.

The sevens caravan will get underway in Nakuru with the Prinsloo Sevens on 25th and 26th July, marking the opening stop of the annual circuit. Traditionally a tough battleground, the Nakuru leg is expected to offer an early glimpse into the form of teams eyeing the overall title.

From the Rift Valley, the action will shift to the lakeside city of Kisumu for the Dala 7s scheduled for 1st and 2nd August.

After a one-week break, teams will return to action at the George Mwangi Memorial Kabeberi 7s on 15th and 16th August, before the circuit heads to the Coast for the iconic Driftwood Sevens in Mombasa on 22nd and 23rd August, a leg known for its festive mood and physically demanding conditions.

The final phase of the circuit will begin with the Embu 7s on 5th and 6th September, before the season culminates in Nairobi at the Christie Sevens on 12th and 13th September. The Nairobi leg will also mark the 60th edition of the Christie Sevens, adding historical significance to the series finale.

With six stops spread across the country, the 2026 National Sevens Circuit is expected to deliver fierce competition as teams battle for supremacy and valuable series points.KCB are the defending champions of the 2025 NSC.

Christie Sevens (Nairobi): 12th–13th September
