Mwamba RFC have confirmed their matchday squad for this weekend’s KRU Championship clash against newly promoted NYS Spades as the club begins its push for Kenya Cup promotion.
Head Coach Lavin Asego has placed his trust in a solid forward pack, with Joseph Gitoi, Brian Kahura, and Kevin ” Nyundo” Juma forming the front row.
In the engine room, Christopher Asira and Aldrine Andaje are tasked with controlling the physical battle, while the back row of Allan Gumbo, Humphrey Wambui, and Ian Wamalwa promises high work rate and breakdown efficiency.
The halfback pairing of Charles Chege at scrum-half and veteran Charles Kuka at fly-half brings creativity and control, setting the platform for Mwamba’s attacking intentions. In the midfield, Jeff Kiplagat partners Jaman Ochieng in a combination expected to provide both defensive steel and line-breaking threats.
Out wide, Mwamba have opted for Laban Chege, Paul Tatii, and fullback Eugene Ojiambo completing the starting XV.
The bench carries a mix of impact and versatility, featuring Akwiri Oguna, Salaton Muturi, Peter Chums, Ambrose Mbare, Yahya Hussein, Washington Ogido, Alexander Gachiri, and Allan Zaddock, all ready to influence the game when called upon.
