Mitsubishi Estate Confirmed as Official Supporter for Rugby World Cup 2027

World Rugby has confirmed Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. as an Official Supporter of the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027, strengthening commercial preparations for the event set to return to Australia from 1 October to 13 November 2027.

The partnership builds on Mitsubishi Estate’s strong history with the sport. The company was an Official Sponsor of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan and has backed the Japan National Rugby Team since 2020. As one of Japan’s leading real estate developers, Mitsubishi Estate is known for promoting sustainable cities and vibrant communities—values closely aligned with rugby’s ethos.

Mitsubishi Estate has been instrumental in growing rugby’s visibility in Japan, particularly through fan-focused initiatives such as community events, public viewing experiences, and the Marunouchi 15-chome PROJECT. These efforts have helped connect new audiences to the sport, and the company aims to bring this expertise to a global level as the tournament grows to a 24-team format across seven Australian host cities.

World Rugby Chief Revenue Officer Michel Poussau said the organisation is pleased to continue its relationship with Mitsubishi Estate, praising the company’s dedication to rugby’s positive impact on society. Mitsubishi Estate President and CEO Atsushi Nakajima said the partnership supports the company’s wider mission of fostering meaningful, thriving communities.

Rugby World Cup 2027 will feature 52 matches over six weeks. Key tournament details including the match schedule and ticket prices will be released on 3 February 2026. A two-week ticket presale opens on 18 February 2026 for fans who register in advance.
