Menengai Oilers head Coach Gibson Weru has unveiled a formidable matchday squad ahead of their first Kenya Cup match of the year 2026 encounter against Strathmore Leos, set for Saturday, 10th January 2026, at the Strathmore University Madaraka Grounds, kick-off 4:00 PM.
Weru and his technical bench have opted for a balanced Starting XV, blending power in the pack with pace and creativity in the backline as the Oilers continue their push for a strong showing this season.
Up front, high rising Kenya Simba’s prospect Destrious Ifedha and Fortune Aturo anchor the front row, with Vincent Mwikhali completing the tight five alongside Ibrahim Ayoo (C) and Samuel Were. The back row of Jadah Abdon, Amos Obae (VC) and Chrispine Shitundo promises intensity at the breakdown and ball-carrying dominance.
