Lionesses Drawn in Pool B for Rugby Africa Women’s 7s in Nairobi

Hosts Kenya Lionesses have been placed in Pool B for the Rugby Africa Women’s 7s, set for 15–16 November 2025 at the RFUEA Ground in Nairobi.

The Lionesses, who finished as runners-up in 2024, will face Ghana and Ivory Coast in their pool as they seek to reclaim continental glory on home soil.

Defending champions South Africa headline Pool A, where they’ll meet regional rivals Zimbabwe and Mauritius, while Uganda’s Lady Cranes lead Pool C alongside Zambia and Burkina Faso.

Completing the lineup is Pool D, featuring Madagascar, Tunisia, and Egypt.

Pool A: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mauritius
Pool B: Kenya, Ghana, Ivory Coast
Pool C: Uganda, Zambia, Burkina Faso
Pool D: Madagascar, Tunisia, Egypt

The two-day tournament will determine Africa’s representative for the 2026 World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series, adding extra significance to an already highly anticipated event.
