Kisii – Pirates Clash Postponed

The KRU Championship opener between Kisii RFC and South Coast Pirates has been postponed following a formal request from newly promoted Kisii RFC.

According to a letter seen by two5four, Kisii RFC cited unavoidable internal circumstances and asked for the November 22, 2025 fixture to be pushed to an alternative date.

In the communication signed by Honorary Secretary Faith Ogeto, Kisii proposed three possible rescheduled dates, 3rd January 2026, 7th February 2026, or 14th February 2026. However, discussions between the two clubs have narrowed the options, with Pirates agreeing that the match can be played on either 13th December 2025 or 7th February 2026.

The postponement now means that the two sides will have to wait an extra week before taking to the field. Pirates next assignment is an away trip to Kakamega, where they will face Western Bulls in the second round of the KRU Championship while Kisii hosts Mwamba RFC.
