The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced the suspension of all rugby-related activities across the country following the death of former Prime Minister and ODM Party Leader, Rt. Honourable Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga.

This decision aligns with the Government of Kenya’s declaration of seven days of national mourning in honor of the late Prime Minister.

In a statement, the Union expressed solidarity with the nation, extending its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and supporters of the late Rt. Hon. Odinga.

KRU further noted that normal rugby activities will resume at the conclusion of the official mourning period, in accordance with the national directive.
