The Kenya Lionesses head coach Simon Odongo has unveiled his squad for the upcoming 2026 HSBC SVNS2 tournament set to be held in Nairobi from 14th to 15th February, the squad comprises of experienced internationals and rising stars earning selection for the home leg.
Leading the side is captain Sheila Chajira, whose leadership and physical presence will once again be central to Kenya’s campaign. She will be deputized by speedster Freshia Oduor.
The team features seasoned campaigners Naomi Amuguni and Moreen Muritu, Grace Okulu and Sinaida Nyachio. Edith Nariaka and Janet Okello have also been included , while Marvel Oswago and Charity Nilah earn their maiden international debut.
Rounding off the squad are Stella Wafula and Phoebe Akinyi.The Lionesses will be guided by Head Coach Simon Odongo, assisted by Jeff Onyango, with Camilyne Oyuayo serving as Team Manager. Physiotherapists Levyce Kituyi and John Elly complete the management team, tasked with keeping the players in peak condition across the two-day tournament.
With home support expected to fill the stands in Nairobi, the Lionesses will be aiming to make a strong statement on the SVNS2 circuit as they continue their push for global sevens prominence.
