The 2025/26 Kenya Cup Season roars back to life this weekend following the December festive break, with clubs shifting focus firmly to the business end of the season.
After weeks of rest, recovery and recalibration, teams return to action eager to sharpen their credentials in what promises to be a fiercely contested second half of the campaign.
Match Day action resumes with mouth-watering fixtures across the country, as traditional rivals and title contenders lock horns. Among the highlights on the card are clashes involving defending champions Kabras Sugar away to Kisumu RFC, Menengai Oilers traveling to Strathmore Leos, and Kenya Harlequin FC squaring off against Nondescripts RFC in a classic Nairobi derby.
Elsewhere, Impala RFC will be out to seek their first win of the second as they welcome Daystar Falcons, Nakuru RFC host KCB RFC in Nakuru, while KU Blak Blad take on MMUST at the Bladbin.
Beyond the on-field action, the break has also provided clubs with a window to strengthen their squads. A number of teams have moved swiftly in the transfer market, bringing in fresh faces to inject depth, competition and tactical flexibility as the season intensifies. The mid-season signings are expected to play a crucial role, particularly for sides juggling injuries, form concerns and the physical demands of the Kenya Cup.
Several clubs have focused on reinforcing key positions, with experienced campaigners and promising youngsters making switches in a bid to make an immediate impact.
