The stage is set for the 2025/2026 EnterpriseCup campaign, with this season introducing a bold and historic twist to East African rugby. The Kenya Rugby Union released the full competition draw, confirming a revamped format that now brings Kenyan and Ugandan clubs together in the latter stages of the tournament.
As the focus shifts to knockout rugby, the Kenya Cup takes a temporary break to pave way for the Enterprise Cup action. Kabras RFC, who lifted the title last season, enter the competition as the defending champions and will be looking to retain their crown as the tournament enters a new era.
In the traditional opening rounds, Kenyan clubs will battle through the local knockouts, beginning with a stacked Round of 16. The fixtures will see Kabras RFC facing Impala RFC, Harlequins taking on Catholic Monks, Menengai Oilers clashing with MMUST RFC, and Nakuru RFC meeting South Coast Pirates.
On the opposite side, Nondescripts square off with Kisumu RFC, Strathmore Leos take on Zetech Oaks, KCB Rugby play Daystar Falcons, and Blak Blad lock horns with Mwamba RFC. These matchups set the tone for a thrilling opening phase as teams fight for places in the Local Quarter Finals.
This season also marks the introduction of the Cross Country Quarter Finals, a groundbreaking addition that will see the top four Kenyan teams advance to face four Ugandan clubs. This new format is designed to strengthen regional rivalry, elevate the standard of play, and expand the tournament’s reach across East Africa.
The winners of these cross-border encounters will progress to the Semi-Finals, leading up to the prestigious Enterprise Cup Final, where a new champion or perhaps Kabras can retain.
One of East Africa’s oldest and most storied rugby competitions now steps boldly into a new era. With mouthwatering fixtures lined up and a continental edge added to the knockout rounds.
