KCB Rugby Club have named a strong matchday squad set to face defending champions Kabras Sugar Rugby Club in a highly anticipated Kenya Cup Week 10 clash scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026.
The match will kick off at 4:00 PM at the KCB Sports Club Ruaraka in Nairobi, with the bankers looking to halt Kabras’ recent dominance in the competition.
KCB have entrusted experienced centre Bob Muhati with the captain’s armband as they prepare for one of the toughest fixtures of the season. Muhati will marshal the midfield alongside Richel Wangila.
On the flanks, the bankers have named the Kenya 7s international Vincent Onyala on the wing alongside Festus Shiasi, while Isaac Njoroge starts at fullback to complete the back three.
The halfback partnership will see scrum-half Samuel Asati combine with flyhalf Brian Wahinya, a pairing expected to control the tempo and guide KCB’s attacking structure against a formidable Kabras side.
Up front, the pack will be led by Nick Okullo, Fidel Maina and Wilhite Mususi in the front row, with John Aswani and Andycolle Omollo forming the second-row partnership. The loose trio consists of Elvis Olukusi, George Ooro and Sheldon Kahi at number eight.
KCB have also named a strong bench with Wilfred Waswa, Thomas Okidia and Eric Miheso providing front-row cover, while Winston Macharia, Churchill Otieno, Emmanuel Opondo, Eugene Omondi and Stephen Osumba offer additional options across the forwards and backs.
With both teams among the top contenders in the league, Saturday’s encounter is expected to be a fiercely contested battle as KCB seek to make a statement against the sugar millers.
