Fleet-footed Kabras Sugar winger Humphrey Asiligwa has completed a move to Uganda’s Victoria University RFC, Two5Four Rugby can exclusively confirm.
Asiligwa, who joined Kabras straight from Vihiga High School, has been one of the most exciting young prospects in Kenyan rugby, impressing fans with his pace, finishing power for the sugar millers.
The talented winger has already linked up with his new teammates in Uganda and is expected to make his debut next weekend when the Uganda Cup kicks off.
Speaking exclusively to Two5Four Rugby, Asiligwa expressed his excitement about the new chapter in his career.
“The reception here has been really good, and I’m settling in well with the team,” Asiligwa said.
He also took a moment to reflect on his time at Kabras and the people who supported his journey.
“I want to thank my Kabras RFC teammates, the management, and the technical bench for the support they’ve given me since I joined. A special mention goes to Edwin Achayo and former coach Carlos Cardovillis, who both played a huge role in my development.”
Asiligwa’s move marks another step forward for young Kenyan talent making waves across the region, and his progress will be closely followed as he begins his stint in Ugandan rugby
