The 2025/2026 Kenya Cup season is beginning to take shape, and after three rounds, a fierce three-way battle has emerged at the top of the standings. Kabras Sugar, Menengai Oilers and KCB Rugby all maintained their flawless starts, each sitting on 15 points with three wins from three, a clear early statement of intent from the league’s perennial heavyweights.
Defending champions Kabras Sugar remain top courtesy of a superior points difference of +242, following another dominant outing that reinforced their reputation as the team to beat this season. Hot on their heels are Nakuru based Menengai Oilers, whose impressive +217 differential showcases a side that has found rhythm and balance early in the campaign.Former champions KCB Rugby, sitting third with a +171 differential, also continue to look sharp and clinical, keeping them firmly in the title conversation.
Strathmore Leos and KU Blak Blad follow in fourth and fifth respectively, both locked on 10 points. Leos’ two wins from three have them well placed despite a negative points difference, while Blak Blad’s spirited performances including two strong victories have them firmly within the play-off bracket at this stage.
Kenya Harlequin round off the top six with nine points, their two league wins against Nakuru and MMUST keeping them within striking distance of the playoff positions.

Further down the log, Nondescript RFC sit seventh with eight points after securing one win so far, while Nakuru RFC are eighth on six points. Newbies MMUST and Daystar Falcons both are yet to pick up a point, have endured tough starts, though with matches in hand, there’s still room to climb.
At the bottom, Kisumu RFC and Impala RFC remain in the relegation zone after difficult opening weeks. Kisumu sit 11th with a points difference of -121, while Impala anchor the table with -296, both still searching for their first win of the season.
With the table beginning to stretch and heavyweights already flexing their muscles, the upcoming fixtures promise even higher stakes. The league takes a break to pave way for Enterprise cup and will resume in January 10th 2026.
