Enterprise cup defending champions Kabras Sugar RFC set up a mouthwatering Enterprise Cup semifinal clash against Menengai Oilers after dismantling Uganda’s most decorated side Heathens 61–19 at the Royal Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, Uganda.

The Kenyan giants delivered a statement performance on the road, combining ruthless finishing with structured dominance to brush aside their hosts and confirm their place in the last four.

Kabras wasted no time asserting themselves, skipper George Nyambua crossing over for the opening try to hand the visitors an early lead. Although Eric Cantona missed the conversion, Kabras quickly found their rhythm, with Cantona turning from provider to scorer as he finished off a fluid attacking move for the second try. The extras again went astray, but Kabras had already opened up a 10–0 cushion.

Heathens briefly responded through Malcolm Okello’s penalty, but Kabras remained firmly in control. Jone Kubu extended the lead in style, selling a dummy before slicing through the defense to score, with Cantona adding the conversion for a 17–3 advantage. Cantona then stretched the gap further with a penalty, even as Okello kept Heathens ticking with another kick.

The visitors’ dominance continued as Eugene Sifuna powered over for another try before Griffin Chao’s electric pace saw him dive over in the corner, capping a commanding first-half display. Kabras headed into the break comfortably ahead at 30–6.

The second half followed a similar script, with Kabras maintaining control of territory and possession. Walter Okoth added to the tally soon after the restart, and despite Heathens managing a few points through Okello’s boot, the gap continued to grow.

Chao returned to haunt the hosts with his second try of the afternoon, this time with Cantona adding the extras to pile on the pressure. Heathens showed brief resistance with a converted try and an additional penalty, but the outcome was never in doubt.

Kabras put the icing on the cake late on, with Derrick Ashiundu and Mathias Osimbo both crossing the whitewash in the closing stages. Barry Young was clinical from the tee, converting both tries to wrap up an emphatic 61–19 victory.

The result sees Kabras set up a blockbuster semifinal clash against Menengai Oilers in what promises to be a defining encounter in the race for Enterprise Cup glory.
