Heathens Secure Aaron Atoke from Buffalo Rugby

Heathens rugby club, ‘The Yellow Machine’ has added another exciting talent to their ranks with the signing of winger and full-back Aaron Atoke, also known as “American Boy.” Atoke, who spent six successful years with Buffaloes RFC, has made the decision to join the mighty Heathens in pursuit of greater challenges and ambitions.

In his statement, Atoke shared his motivation for the move: “I decided to move to Heathens because of the goals I am chasing. Buffaloes and Heathens are both big teams, but some ambitions need a bigger stage. I want to help Heathens win trophies and continue to improve as a player. I also dream of playing for the national team, whether in 7s or 15s.”

Atoke expressed excitement at joining a new rugby family: “I’ve already trained with the boys, and I feel I’m fitting in well. I’ve seen where I must improve, and I’m working hard to get better. I’m eager to collaborate with the coaches and players to achieve great things.”

Heathens supporters can look forward to seeing Atoke’s speed and versatility on the field as he takes on new challenges in the coming season.

Atoke’s arrival strengthens an already formidable squad and adds depth to the backline as the club looks to make a strong statement in the 2026 season.
