Former SC Pirates Ace Seals Doha Titans Move, Makes Winning Start in QRF 15s

Immediate former South Coast Pirates scrumhalf Mwinyi Juma has taken the next step in his rugby journey after completing a move to Qatar Rugby Federation (QRF) 15s Series side Doha Titans.

Mwinyi links up with the Doha-based outfit ahead of the new QRF 15s campaign, bringing with him valuable experience from the Kenyan domestic scene, where he was a key figure for South Coast Pirates.

Known for his sharp decision-making, game management and composure under pressure, the halfback is expected to add depth and competition to the Titans’ squad as they push for success in the league.

Speaking exclusively to Two5four Rugby, Mwinyi outlined his objectives with his new club, stressing the importance of patience, consistency and impact.

“As a new player, my target is to earn my place through consistent performances, adapt quickly to the team’s systems, and make a strong impact whenever I’m called upon. I want to contribute to winning games, keep improving each week, and help the team achieve its goals in this QRF 15s series competition,” said Mwinyi.

The Kenyan scrumhalf wasted no time settling into his new surroundings. He made his Doha Titans debut in the opening league match of the season on Thursday, coming on as a second-half substitute in their 22-14 victory over Blue Falcons.

Mwinyi announced his arrival in style, calmly drilling a crucial penalty to help his side close out the contest. His early contribution has already caught the eye, with the Titans coaching staff expected to hand him more minutes as the season progresses.
