The 2025 Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Rugby 15s draws has been announced today.
Kenya and Uganda’s top secondary school teams will face against each other in what promises to be an explosive start to the regional championship.
Group A features a heavyweight mix of talent and tradition, with Uganda’s Namilyango College and Jinja SS drawn alongside Kenyan powerhouses Vihiga High School and Upper Hill School. Each team carries a rich rugby pedigree, and none will want to blink first in a pool that could go down to the wire.
Namilyango, one of Uganda’s oldest rugby-playing schools, brings a legacy of dominance and a physically imposing squad. Their style is combative and tactically sound, a combination that has served them well in past FEASSSA outings. Jinja SS, no strangers to upsets, have a flair for explosive play and will be eager to stake their claim in a tough group.
For Kenya, Vihiga High comes into the tournament riding high after strong domestic showings.
Group B is no easier, living up to its early tag as the “Group of Death.” Kenyan sides Kisii High School and defending champions All Saints face a stern test against Uganda’s Kings College Budo and Busoga College .
Both sides will need to be at their absolute best against the disciplined Kings College Budo, whose methodical game management is a nightmare for many teams, and Busoga Mwiri, who can ignite out of nowhere with unstructured, fearless rugby.
