Samwel Mbeche in Klub 03 kit
Kenyan rugby player Samuel Mbeche has officially settled into life at Rugby Klub 03 Berlin, expressing excitement and optimism as he begins a new sporting and academic chapter in Germany.
Speaking to Two5four Rugby, Mbeche, a former MMUST RFC and Mwamba RFC player said the move is about more than just rugby. It’s an opportunity to grow, connect, and experience a new culture.
“I’m happy,” he said. “It’s more of creating new friends and joining a community where we share values and of course grow together. I want to create memories here as I study.”
For the young forward, adapting to a new environment has its challenges, but he’s embracing them wholeheartedly. One of his biggest motivations is learning the language to integrate fully with the squad.
“And of course the language of training and play is German,” he added. “So I hope to learn!”
Mbeche’s arrival adds a fresh spark to Rugby Klub 03 Berlin, where he hopes to sharpen his skills on the pitch while expanding his horizons off it. His journey marks yet another inspiring step for Kenyan rugby talent earning opportunities across Europe.
