The stage is set for the 42nd edition of the Impala Floodlit Tournament, which will light up the Impala Club, Ngong Road, from October 18 to November 1, 2025. The prestigious competition remains a key highlight of Kenya’s rugby calendar, doubling as the traditional curtain-raiser to the new season.
Menengai Oilers, the reigning champions, return to defend their crown after cruising past hosts Impala RFC 42–03 in last year’s final to secure their maiden Floodlit title. The Nakuru-based side will be keen to replicate that dominance and build momentum ahead of the 2025/26 Kenya Cup season, which kicks off on November 15, 2025.
The tournament will follow its traditional knockout format, starting with the quarterfinals on October 18, the semifinals on October 25, and culminating in the grand finale on November 1.
For decades, the Floodlit has served as a breeding ground for young stars and a competitive testing ground for clubs ahead of the demanding Kenya Cup campaign. This year’s edition promises another electric atmosphere as top teams battle under the famous Impala floodlights.
Impala RFC, the tournament hosts, have invited rugby fans and media to the official draw on Friday, October 3, 2025, where participating teams will be unveiled.
Tickets will retail at Ksh 500 (advance) and Ksh 700 (at the gate) for all-round access.
