KRU championship outfit Mombasa RFC will head south this weekend for an international friendly against Tanzania’s Dar Leopards, set for Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the University of Dar es Salaam Grounds. Kick-off is at 3:30 PM.

The match is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen rugby ties between Kenya and Tanzania, giving club players a platform for international exposure while promoting regional growth of the sport.

Mombasa RFC, who wrapped up their 2024/25 KRU Championship campaign in 8th place with 18 points, will use the fixture to assess their pre-season progress and test combinations ahead of the new campaign which kicks off in November 16th.

Hosts Dar Leopards, one of Tanzania’s leading clubs, are expected to parade a strong lineup as they look to measure themselves against Kenyan opposition.

Beyond the action, the fixture serves as a cultural and sporting exchange, strengthening bonds between the two rugby communities and offering fans in Dar es Salaam a chance to enjoy a lively cross-border showdown.
