The 2025 Dala 7s kicked off in style at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium, Kisumu, with Division I teams serving up a thrilling opening day of rugby.
Catholic Monks stunned Nakuru RFC 14-10 in the opener, before Kabras Sugar eased past MMUST 34-15. Nondescripts ran riot in a 41-5 win over MSC Rugby, while Daystar Falcons edged Kenya Harlequin 20-14. Mwamba, KCB, and Menengai Oilers all recorded wins with Oilers’ 50-0 demolition of Kisumu the biggest scoreline. Strathmore Leos closed round one with a 29-0 victory over Impala.
Round two saw MMUST bounce back with a 17-12 win over Monks, as Kabras battled to a 21-14 victory against Nakuru. Daystar Falcons impressed again, thumping Nondies 31-12, while KCB crushed Embu 36-0. Oilers and Strathmore maintained momentum, blanking Impala and Kisumu respectively.
The third round produced drama as Nakuru edged MMUST 24-19, and Nondies stunned Quins 29-5. Homeboyz finally got going with a 31-0 win over Embu, while Kisumu delighted home fans by edging Impala 15-12. Kabras stayed perfect with a narrow 19-14 victory over Monks, and Daystar shone in a 41-0 thrashing of MSC. KCB underlined their title credentials with a 33-5 win over Mwamba, before Menengai handed Strathmore their first loss, 24-7.
