Battle Lines Drawn as Prinsloo 7s Pools are announced

After a successful first round of the national sevens circuit in Mombasa, all roads lead to Suguta Valley,Nakuru county this weekend for the Prinsloo 7s.
Kenya Rugby Union officially on Saturday unveiled the Division One pool draws. The tournament, which is the second leg of the SportPesa National Sevens Circuit will be hosted by Nakuru RFC at the Nakuru athletic Club as top-tier clubs and emerging forces lock horns.
Defending champions Strathmore Leos are in pool B alongside Menengai Oilers, Daystar Falcons and promoted Zetech Oaks. Strathmore won the 2024 Prinsloo 7s after thrashing Nondies RFC 33-07 in the finals.
Pool A sees 2024 National 7s Circuit overall winners Kenya Harlequins battle it out with hosts Nakuru RFC, Mombasa and newcomers Stallions who got promoted to division one after finishing second in Driftwood 7s division two category.
Fresh from winning the 2025 Driftwood sevens, KCB rugby club will be seeking to extend their fine run, the bankers will be expected to top the group, but they must get past seasoned campaigners Nondescripts RFC, Kisumu RFC and Catholic Monks in pool C.
Pool D has Kabras Sugar, Masinde Muliro University, Impala and Mwamba rugby.
