Kenya Sevens winger Lamec Kokoyo Ambetsa is set to make his debut for Nondescripts RFC when they take on Strathmore Leos in the Impala Floodlit Tournament this Saturday at the Impala Grounds.
Ambetsa, who joined the Red Lions ahead of the new season from multiple Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar, is among the notable inclusions in head coach Moses Wanyaga’s starting XV, taking up the number 11 jersey. His addition adds pace and experience to a Nondies backline that also features Billy Omondi, Bruce Odhiambo, and Stormy Odhiambo.
Captain Steve Odhiambo will lead the side from the back row, partnering with Brian Marube and Charles Omondi in a solid loose trio. Kinyua Waiyaki starts at fly-half with Ronnie Omondi orchestrating play from scrum-half.
Up front, Godfrey Oyare, Zackary Marrowa, and Ambrose Ouko form the front row, with Ryan Odua and Adrian Wallace combining in the second row.
The replacements’ bench includes Oliver Tambo, George Ochieng, and Brian Ayimba, while Obungu Owade and Allen Katoni are also poised to make an impact off the bench.
The Floodlit encounter against Strathmore will mark a key test for Nondies as they look to blend youth and experience in their hunt for early-season form.
Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday 4PM at the Impala Grounds along Ngong Road.
