Menengai Oilers head coach Gibson Weru has made four important changes to his squad ahead of their Match Day 6 encounter against Kenya Harlequins, with winger Denis Abukuse returning to the lineup after missing last weekend’s match. He replaces Timothy Omela and is expected to inject pace and sharp finishing into the Oilers’ attack.
The backline adjustments continue as Clarkson Keegan steps back into the scrum-half role in place of Collins Okoth, bringing renewed tempo and control. Tony Oketch takes over at fly-half from Samuel Mwaura, while Daniel Kipchirchir slots in at outside centre, replacing Philip Okeyo.
While the backs see several changes, the forward pack remains steady. Destrious Ifedha continues at tighthead prop, joined by Celestine Mboi at hooker and Vincent Mwikhali at loosehead. Captain Ibrahim Ayoo will partner with Charles Osgood in the second row, with Samuel Were and Amos Obae covering the flanks. Chrispine Shitundo completes the pack at number eight.
The rest of the backline remains unchanged, with Beldad Ogeta on the left wing, Samuel Ovwamu at inside centre, and Abutwalib Wesonga at fullback.
