Bungoma, Kiminini triumphant at inaugural Kitale 7s

Bungoma are the inaugural Kitale 7s champions after defeating Bukembe 17-12 in the cup final on Sunday 20 July 2025 at the Kitale Club. Kiminini Queens were crowned women’s champions after winning the round robin competition with 15 points, two points clear of Kitale Queens (13 pts). 

Kitale Community were third on 11pts. TNEP Eldoret Poly were fourth on 9pts with Rafiki Rafiki and Kitale Poly claiming fifth and sixth respectively, tying on 5 pts.

Bungoma reached the final after edging P61 5-0 in the semis. They had earlier defeated Kitale Veterans 17-7 in the cup quarters while Bukembe were 14-10 semifinal winners over Samurai Wakulima, having earlier stopped Kibingei 26-5 in the cup quarters. Kisumu and Kabras Sugar did  not participate in the tournament.
