Kenya Harlequin headline pool A as 2025 Driftwood 7s Pools Confirmed

Defending champions Kenya Harlequin headline a highly competitive Pool A as the 2025 Driftwood 7s edges closer. Quins, who lifted the trophy in 2024 after beating KCB 15-12 in the finals, are set to battle it out with Kenya cup returnees MMUST, Blak Blad, and Mwamba RFC in what promises to be an action-packed group.
Kabras RFC, who finished fourth in last year’s edition, have been drawn in Pool B. The sugar men will be eager to improve on their 2024 outing, where they were knocked out in the Cup semi-finals by KCB with a 15–0 defeat before losing 22–10 to Blak Blad in the third-place playoff.
This year, Kabras will face Catholic Monks, Nakuru RFC, and Impala RFC as they chase their first title of the 2025 National Sevens Circuit.
Pool C features 2024 runners-up and former series champions KCB Rugby, who have been paired with Nondies, Daystar Falcons, and hosts Mombasa SC. The bankers will be looking to build on their strong start to the circuit as they push for another title run.

Menengai Oilers, who continue to be strong contenders on the sevens scene, headline Pool D. The 2022 National seven circuit winners are grouped with Strathmore Leos, Kabarak University, and newcomers Stallions in a pool full of flair and youthful energy.
The sevens caravan will roll into Nakuru City for the Prinsloo 7s on 2–3 August at the Nakuru Athletic Club. It will then head to Nairobi for the Christie 7s on 16–17 August, followed by Embu 7s on 23–24 August.
The final legs of the circuit will take place in September, beginning with Kabeberi 7s in Nairobi (6–7 Sept) and wrapping up with Dala 7s in Kisumu (13–14 Sept).
