Shot in the Arm for Pirates as They Land Give Rugby Partnership

South Coast Pirates RFC have received a major boost after securing a partnership with Give Rugby Foundation (GRF), who will officially cover the salary of the team’s head coach.

The announcement came as the club unveiled Tony “Lujesi” Khadambi as their new head coach for the 2025/26 KRU Championship season. Khadambi, a former Kenya U20 captain and seasoned player with Impala, KCB, and Homeboyz, takes charge at a time when Pirates are undergoing restructuring following the departure of coach Kevin Amiani.

Pirates secretary Chris Egesa hailed the move, noting the impact of the partnership and the leadership of their new tactician.

“This partnership with Give Rugby is a timely boost for the club as we restructure. Having Coach Khadambi on board is a big statement of intent, and we believe he has the right experience and drive to lead us back to the Kenya Cup,” said Egesa.

The coastal outfit will now look to mount a strong challenge in the upcoming campaign with Khadambi at the helm.
