Kabras, Kisumu top seeds for inaugural Kitale Sevens

Kabras Sugar and Kisumu headline the field at the inaugural edition of the Kitale Sevens, taking place on 19-20 July 2025 at the Kitale Club. The two sides will be joined by 10 other teams at this tournament which is sponsored by leading global beer brand Heineken and serves as a build up to the 2025 National Sevens Circuit which kicks off at the end of July. 

Kabras are top seeds and will play out of Pool A which features Webuye, Kitale National Poly and Samurai Wakulima.

Kisumu are with Kitale Veterans, Kisiwa Institute and Bukembe in Pool B while Sigalagala, P61 Eldoret, Bungoma and Kibingei make up Pool C. 

The women’s competition has attracted four teams namely Eldoret TENP, Kitale National Poly, Cranes Kitale and Kitale Community. St Emmanuel Mururii is on standby.
